Problem

With a reputation for providing customers with a highly efficient service, Mothercare Ireland needed to ensure its PoS systems and back-office equipment reflected this. Its existing technology was outdated, meaning longer queues and reduced levels of customer service at busy times. The company needed to enhance customer engagement by upgrading to a reliable and efficient alternative solution across all 15 of its stores and head office.

Solution

After testing multiple solutions, Mothercare Ireland settled on a product from retail technology solutions provider Box Technologies for its new system. The Cielo PX-150 All-in-One PoS system was chosen by Mothercare Ireland for its high-specification, build quality, reliability and various connectivity options, which fulfilled the company’s requirements. In addition, the fast processing power of the Cielo PX-150 allowed Mothercare Ireland staff to process transactions much more quickly, ideal for coping with increased footfall at peak times and enhancing customer engagement.

Result

The highly successful rollout of the new innovative solution was carried out by Store Computer Technology (SCT) Dublin, a close partner of Box Technologies with extensive experience in retail installations and on-site support. Mothercare Ireland saw the immediate benefits of the Cielo PX-150 – reduced queues and a better customer experience all round. The compact design of the Cielo PX-150 also proved highly popular with staff, as it could be used in more confined spaces.
