With ambitious future growth plans, Charles Tyrwhitt’s existing POS systems were unable to support their expansion strategy. Having already invested in new software based on the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform, implemented by strategic ERP partner K3 Retail, Charles Tyrwhitt needed a replacement that would fully support this new software investment and enhance their performance. In addition, the hardware needed to match the contemporary aesthetic of their stores and the design of their cash and wrap areas.
Following a collaborative workshop at Box Technologies’ In-Store Technology Centre, which enabled Charles Tyrwhitt to see and evaluate a number of systems, it was decided that a bespoke, sleek Cielo PX-515 All-in-One POS system would fully meet their requirements. Taking advantage of the Cielo PX-515’s customisable design, Charles Tyrwhitt requested a modification to the unit to enhance their point of service by removing the barrier between staff and customers. This was achieved with a customised base providing a highly adjustable screen angle and partial integration into the desks. The complete solution was delivered through DataTherapy, a custom software developer and chosen procurement partner of Charles Tyrwhitt’s.
The PX-515 systems proved to be a powerful and effective replacement for Charles Tyrwhitt, specifically tailored to fit their unique in-store aesthetic. The success of the solution ensured it was adopted across its entire global store estate, with a rollout schedule of only 8-12 weeks. With Charles Tyrwhitt’s focus on delivering increasingly interactive, convenient and personalised in-store experiences, Box Technologies have helped them achieve another step towards this goal.
"After a collaborative workshop at Box Technologies’ In-store Technology Centre, which allowed us to see and evaluate a multitude of products, we were supported by tailored, expert consultancy from the DataTherapy and Box Technologies teams. This led us to choose a bespoke Cielo PX-515 solution that fully met our requirements."
